https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pringles

What is a pringle? A potato chip
Who invented the pringle?
How did they make the pringle?
Why is the pringle important?

Kellogg’s
140 countries
Fourth popular snack
Fredric Baur
hyperbolic paraboloid
Montgomery, Ohio

Pringles are a potato chip that is owned by Kellogg’s that has been cut into thin slices then cooked then the seasoning is added to it to give it its flavouring the chip is a hyperbolic paraboloid shape making it fit into its container.

The inventor of the Pringle was Fredric Baur who made the chip and named it when he made it it didn't have flavour so when he couldn't get the flavour the job was given to Montgomery Ohio who succeed in making the Pringles taste better.

  1. Thanks for sharing your research Dion. I learnt things about Pringles that I never knew before, including a new Maths term. I like Pringles, but I think it is crazy how far they travel and how little nutrition is in them. Two next steps:
    1. Please add a diagram or picture to your blog post which shows what shape a pringle is.
    2. In the comments, in your own words, try and describe what a hyperbolic parabloid shape is.
